| About 4 years ago, the Lord impressed upon me the need to build a Bible College. Up until this time, I had been training men in every area of both countries, Haiti and the Dom. Rep. where we had started churches. We now have so many different areas that we are working in, that it is impossible for me to travel and continue to train these men in all these areas, and still have the time to work in the new churches that we are planting. Our vision was to build a Bible College where these men could come to one place for concentrated study. By doing this, we will be able to have the men graduate in 3 years, instead of the 6-8 years it was taking before, due to the traveling to each area, and only being able to train them for 6 weeks at a time. With the sacrifice of many Christian servants who have come and helped build, and with the help of many churches who have sacrificially given, God has done great and mighty things already. So far, we have been able to purchase 2,300 meters of land for the project, construct the dorm parents house, construct a dormitory for visiting groups, complete the multi-purpose building and the foundation, walls, and roof for the library/trade school building are complete. All that is left to finish on it is the floor, doors, windows, stools and sinks. We have also built a large open room which will serve for both classroom and chapel until we are able to put the second story on the multi-purpose building which will be used for these purposes. As soon as the needed money comes in to finish the beds, we will have room for 58 students on campus right now. Right now, we have divided off 3/4 of the dining hall area in order to have the room needed to house the 58 students. Please pray with us that more people will get the same vision, and that we would be able to see this project become a reality. We still do not have the stoves or the refrigerator/freezer for the kitchen purchased. And we still need to build the second story on the multi-purpose building and also the second story on the library/trade school building which will be a large dormitory. This Bible College truly is the future of the ministries for both Haiti and the Dom. Rep. Our goal is to train men to be able to send out and start even more churches not only in these two countries but wherever God would send them.
